Javier Schwersensky holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications (Magna Cum Laude) and a Masters Degree in Corporate Communications (Honours). He is the Chief Executive Officer at the Winnipeg Humane Society, one of Manitoba’s oldest non-profit institutions and previously held the position of Deputy Executive Director with responsibility over Marketing, Communication, Sales and Programs at The Manitoba Museum.

Javier is a board member with Community Living Manitoba, Culture Days Manitoba Inc and a cabinet member of the Creative Cluster Group for Winnipeg´ s Exchange District. He has experience teaching courses in his native Argentina, where he held the position of Chief Examinations Officer for the Theory of Design Course at University of Buenos Aires, faculty of Social Sciences.

Javier has over 20 years of experience in communications and marketing, and has developed comprehensive web and social media strategies for The Manitoba Museum, Culture on Every Corner and currently is helping reshape the Winnipeg Humane Society’s social media engagement strategy.

Shannon Cone

Shannon has worked with the best and the brightest in marketing — from agencies to startups and everything in between. Over the past 10+ years, she’s built deep expertise in strategic planning, content marketing, community building, analytics. 

Shannon’s passion is sharing her digital media know-how with others so they can learn and grow. She loves that as a digital marketing specialist she gets to share her passion with her clients and help their businesses grow. Currently, a Masters student at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology pursuing an M.Ed. so she can continue to educate the next generation of Canada’s creative marketers.
