Robert Orser
Instructor, Pharmacy Assistant

Robert (Bob) Orser graduated from Dalhousie University with a B.Sc.Pharm. followed with a years Residency in Hospital Pharmacy at the Ottawa General and University of Ottawa. Throughout his careers in both Retail and Hospital Pharmacy, he studied, and successfully completed the Ontario Pharmacy Association's Business Management Course, the Methadone Course for Physicians and Pharmacists, Shoppers Drug Mart Management Course, and several courses from the Ontario Hospital Association. Bob owned a Pharmacy in Orleans for a decade, then became an Assistant Director of Pharmacy for the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group in Ottawa. From there he became the Manager of Rexall Pharmacy in a Medical Center in Ottawa. He was transferred to Kingston, Ontario where he opened a Methadone Clinic and managed it for two years. He was then transferred to Barrie, Ontario and opened another Methadone Clinic. During his final year of Pharmacy, he owned a Shoppers Drug Mart and retired to a home in Phoenix. Bob was drawn to Herzing to have the opportunity to share his knowledge and experiences from his 40 year working career. He enjoys the exciting and rewarding challenge of a new routine and the opportunity to work with people of varied ages from all over the world. He finds they teach him many things about life experiences that he might not otherwise be exposed to.
