Interior Designers conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial buildings. Computers are used to aid in drafting, color matching and final product visualization.

This program prepares students to conceptualize and produce aesthetic, functional and safe designs for interior spaces in residential, commercial, cultural, institutional and industrial buildings. Areas of study interior design and decoration, color, space planning, CAD of interior designs and decorators, textiles and interior materials, furniture and accessories, lighting and commercial and residential perspectives and renders.

Program length: 18 months (20 hours/week) includes 8 week internship

Careers in Interior Design

The Interior Design program prepares graduates for employment opportunities with architectural firms, interior design firms, retail establishments, construction companies, hospitals, airlines, , hotel and restaurant chains.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Quebec issued high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two consecutive terms

One school year interruption from full-time studies

• Minimum of one year post-secondary education
