I have been working in the early childhood field for 32 years. Following a career that began in theatre and design, I discovered my passion for early childhood education when I became a parent.
In observing my child’ s educator, I learnt to appreciate the profession; watching the teacher motivating young children, guiding them and fostering a positive and trustworthy relationship with them and their families all within a creative and safe environment truly inspired me. This educator made a positive impact in my child’s life and that experience encouraged me to follow in her footsteps.
My professional experience gave me the opportunity to work as an educator not only in daycares and preschools but also as a CPE director and a pedagogical and administrative consultant who would support daycares in the Montreal area which ultimately in 2018, led me to being a teacher at Herzing College.
Becoming an early childhood educator was the best professional decision I ever made and this is why, as a teacher in this ever changing and challenging world, I firmly believe that we need creative and caring educators who are able to connect, support and care for young children and their families.
I genuinely enjoy my work and the responsibility I feel towards these students, it is truly a pleasure to teach and prepare the next generation of early childhood educators.
