Get Financial Support to Train for a New Career
Better Jobs Ontario (BJO) is a government program that provides financial support for skills training, helping unemployed, laid-off, or low-income workers train for in-demand careers.
It replaces the Second Career program, offering broader eligibility and more flexible financial support.

- Weren’t laid off but have been unemployed for at least 12 weeks and are in a low-income household
Eligibility is assessed by your Employment Ontario office. They may take into account your employment history, financial need, and career goals.

If approved, you may receive up to $35,000 in funding for:
- Tuition

This funding is designed to remove financial barriers so you can focus on starting a new career.
