This program prepares students to work within a community to ensure public safety through crime prevention and law enforcement. Areas of study include policing, interviewing and interrogating techniques, sociology and criminology, criminal investigations, forensics and evidence. The program includes the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and Restricted Firearms Safety Course. Once completed, students can apply for their Possession/Acquisition License (PAL) and will go through a security screening process to qualify.
Program length: 12 months (20 hours/week, M-TH) includes 4 week internship
