Andrew Carvajal LL.B / B.C.L. (Hons.), M.A., B.A. (Hons.)
Instructor, Immigration Consultant

Andrew is a Toronto lawyer and Partner at the immigration boutique Desloges Law Group. He received a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University. He has been a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada since 2011.

Andrew’s immigration practice focuses on permanent residence applications under federal and provincial economic programs, all types of business immigration, applications for sponsorship under the family class and temporary resident applications. He also appears frequently for clients at the Immigration and Refugee Board, as well other administrative tribunals.

In addition to his immigration practice, Andrew also represents individuals and corporations in administrative matters, professional and academic discipline cases, as well as Small Claims Court litigation. His professional discipline practice includes the representation of Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants in complaint and discipline proceedings before the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council.

Cassandra Fultz

Cassandra Fultz began her career in the Canadian immigration industry in 2008 and is currently the Managing Partner of Doherty Fultz Immigration Inc., located in Toronto, ON. At DFI, Cassandra specializes in immigration cases pertaining to criminal inadmissibility, Canadian citizenship, Family Sponsorship, Study Permits, and visitor status. She also oversees all business development and marketing initiatives, file management, and client satisfaction. Cassandra has also been the General Manager of Immigroup Inc., a boutique immigration firm in Toronto, since 2011. Given her extensive experience in the immigration field, she has been a contributor to discussions on Global News Toronto and AM680 News among other news agencies across Canada
Chantal Desloges
Instructor, Immigration Consultant

Chantal Desloges is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in both Citizenship/Immigration law and Refugee law.  Her practice encompasses every possible area of Canadian citizenship, immigration and refugee law, such as business class applications, skilled workers, family sponsorships, work and study permits, refugee cases, citizenship applications, plus Appeals and Judicial Reviews of refused cases.

She was called to the Bar in 1999. She was an associate then a partner at Green & Spiegel law firm until leaving the partnership in August, 2010 to establish her own law firm.

Chantal taught Immigration Law at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000/2001. She served as Curriculum Coordinator and Lecturer for the Seneca College Immigration Practitioner Certificate Programme from 1999 - 2010.

Gerry Power

Gerry Power has an extensive expertise in immigration and citizenship matters with over 35 years of experience in both public and private sectors going from working for the Quebec government to private institutions in the field of international immigration. After earning a Bachelor Degree in Political science, Gerry started his career with the Government of Canada at the Citizenship Branch of the Secretary of State; then joined the Government of Quebec, during which he was the Director of the Quebec Immigration offices in Hong Kong, Haiti, Bangkok, New York and Rabat
Zdenka Acin
Instructor, Immigration Consultant

Prior to working in the field of immigration consultancy, Zdenka had worked with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) as an accredited and awarded interpreter and translator for over 10 years. At the IRB alone, she participated at extensive number of hearings in various settings: at Refugee Protection Division; Immigration Appeal Division; Immigration Appeal Division – Alternative Dispute Resolution; Immigration Division - Admissibility Hearings – Exclusion and Inclusion; Immigration Division - Detention Reviews as well as Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA), Removal Order and Deportation Order. Therefore, when the refugee and immigration process is in the matter, Zdenka Acin is considered as a real expert. Zdenka also gained tremendous experience in dealing with all possible immigration issues, categories and classes – from the Family Class (Family Sponsorship: spouse, common-law, conjugal partners [opposite and same sex], dependent children, parents, grandparent), and the Economic Class (Federal Skilled Workers and Federal Trade Workers) to the Business Class (Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Self-Employed) as well as the Canadian Experience Class; the Provincial Nominee Programs; Student Visa and Renewal; Live-in Caregivers – “nanny” work permits; Labour Market Opinion (LMO) – recently changed into Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA); Permanent Residence and Citizenship. Zdenka also had worked as a professor at George Brown College. Her great passion for teaching, as student-oriented educator, and commitment to justice has been reflected in the course that she crated and taught under the name War Crimes Against Women/ Women and War as well as in her course Literature in Exile -based on her published book “I Renounce Revenge” that is dedicated to Nobel Prize Awarded exiled writers who formed literature in exile in the 20th Century.
