Herzing College not only offered me the feeling of being treated like a person, but also gave me the chance to pursue a new career in a short amount of time. It was the warmth and appreciation that I felt on my first visit that convinced me that Herzing was the school for me. I am now employed as a Paralegal with a Property Management Company concentrated solely on the Residential Tenancies Act working directly with the Landlord and Tenant Board.

Based on his Father’s successes as a Graduate from Herzing College, Miguel decided to enrol at Herzing College to fulfill his goal of becoming a graphic designer. “It was fun and very satisfying. I was finally tapping into a field of art that I had always wanted to do. My instructors helped me gain the skills needed to explore my creativity in an almost limitless level. Currently, I am working as a graphic designer and also run my own freelance design firm called PORQ.me.”

I was referred to Herzing College by a friend. I met with the admissions department and discussed my goals. I liked the idea of smaller classes so that I could have more one on one time with the instructor. Herzing also had a web and flash program where other colleges I had researched, didn’t. And the fact that I could learn all of this in one year was unbelievable! My experience at Herzing was extraordinary. The instructors were excellent and knew their fields as they were working graphic designers. It was a fun learning experience. The classes were small so I got a lot of one-on-one time with the teachers. Presently, I am working as a graphic designer on a wide variety of print and web-based projects. I attend design meeting with clients and work with printing companies. Every day is a learning experience and I really feel like I am living my dream.

I started researching different schools; Herzing won out for me in several ways. The program was highly recommended, the success rate of the students was also quite high in placing students in internships and employment, and the program worked into my available timing. My experience was very positive! Learning one program at a time was a bonus for me. I feel like I really made some lifetime friends at Herzing. Right now, I own my own business called Webink Graphic/Web Designs. The clients that I have are primarily looking to have websites designed for them. I have occasionally consulted with companies using analytics and other factors to help build up their clientele via the World Wide Web. I also do some graphic design.

“After researching the different programs offered at various colleges, I choose Herzing College, because it offered me a learning environment,” explains Susan Sampath. “The instructor was very knowledgeable in the field, which provided me with the tools necessary to learn as well as grow.”
After arriving in Canada, Ms. Sampath struggled to find employment because her college diploma was outdated; she decided to return to college. “My experience at Herzing College was very educational and fun. I especially enjoyed the various modules, assignments, and teamwork projects,” Ms. Sampath explains.
After graduating, Ms. Sampath found employment as the Assistant to the Operations Manager at Cleeve Technology Incorporated, a manufacturer of military and aerospace parts. Ms. Sampath continues to support her community. She states: “with the skills and knowledge I acquired at Herzing, and along with my fellow co-workers, I was able to work with Family Services of Durham.” Ms. Sampath and her new colleagues organized and supported less fortunate families for the holidays, raised $2,500 to help build a drinking water well in a third-world country through Unicef, and helped provide medical immunizations for 1,000 children.
