Amy Richer, RN, Director of Operations, Alavida Lifestyles
“Working with the students from Herzing College has been a pleasure. Alavida is thrilled to see such competent and eager students entering their placements. Our residents enjoy their interactions with the students each time they are on site!”
Dorin Lucas, Director of Human Resources, CAREFOR® Health & Community Services
“Our two organizations have had a long and fruitful relationship. The College is familiar with our needs and is able to provide appropriately-trained graduates ready to assume positions available at Carefor. Focussed Internship programs have given us ample opportunity to assess their students and provide them with meaningful assignments. Many graduates have leveraged their internship assignments into permanent positions in departments such as Finance and Payroll and we have also hired large numbers of their Personal Support Worker program graduates. The College periodically seeks feedback on their graduates and programs and is very responsive to market demands. We are happy to be associated with this quality institution and will be pleased to share our experience. “
Tanya Cullain, RN, Regional Nursing Director, Riverstone Retirement Communities
“We have always had excellent experiences with the students from Herzing College and are happy to be a Westend partner for supporting and improving healthcare to our elderly population. I look forward to our continued partnership for years to come.”
Lynne McHardy, Manager, Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine, The Ottawa Hospital
“The Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine takes great pride in its philosophy of “paying forward”. Not only have we provided the Herzing College Medical Administration students with a wealth of experience, they, in turn, have provided our Department with exceptional assistance. The relationship our Department has built with Herzing has been reciprocally beneficial, as well as rewarding.”
Beate Evans, RN, Clinical Coordinator, South-East Ottawa Community Health Centre
“I am pleased to express our appreciation of the Medical Office Administration internship program. Ever since we have partnered with Herzing College we have been impressed with the extensive training the students receive. The student placements have been rewarding for both sides and sometimes the internships have paved the way of hiring new employees. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with Herzing College in the future.”
Jacqueline Clarke, Manager, Policy and Engagement Unit, Official Languages Centre, Human Resources, Canadian Food Inspection Agency / Government of Canada
“The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recently partnered with Herzing College in order to participate in their Intern Placement Program. The placement of a Herzing student at the Agency proved an excellent opportunity to experience a professional workplace environment. The placement was over the four week period and is the final step before the student graduates from their respective program. During the placement, the student demonstrated the ability to meet and exceed the challenging projects assigned. The CFIA would encourage other organizations to partner with Herzing College in supporting this important initiative.”
Hope R. Versluis, Executive Director, Jericho Road Ministries
“As the Executive Director of Jericho Road Ministries, I am glad that having an intern from Herzing College is a regular part of the yearly routine for Jericho Road staff and residents. Our residents benefit from the interaction with and the fresh perspective of these students. At Jericho Road, interns gain insight and experience as they see a traditional 12-step recovery model lived out in the day to day life of our community of addiction recovery and mental health support.”
